Advanced Welding

After some practice with the different types of welding, this course will focus primarily on project design and construction. Advanced welding will emphasize the development of metalworking skills necessary to succeed in careers in the agriculture metal fabrication industry. Topics of instruction may include metal identification and properties, metal preparation, use of an oxy-acetylene torch, plasma cutting, arc welding, MIG welding and TIG welding. Students will learn how to lead groups and work in teams and exercise leadership abilities that are necessary within the industry.
