Jeffrey - Team Lead

Jeffrey helps BAFO clients with proposal management, technical writing, compliance, graphics, and training document support within the government contracting industry. He serves as a Team Lead for BAFO's organization. 

Jeffrey is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a major in English / Creative Writing and has an extensive background in technical writing.  He has logged countless hours writing for a diverse client list, ranging from Discovery television networks in the private sector to Health and Human Services (HHS) in the federal government sphere.  He specializes in detail-oriented documentation drafting and review and brings a diverse skill set to the BAFO Services team.  He is a highly motivated, client-focused professional who always seeks to deliver the highest level of customer service to each task placed in his lane.  

Outside of the office, Jeffrey writes screenplays of the comedic variety and works out.  He also enjoys spending time with his kids, girlfriend, family, and cats.  

Neal - Business Development  and Proposal Support

Neal helps BAFO clients with business development within the Naval and DoD space. 

Neal is a retired U.S. Navy  Commander within the Communications and Information Systems (CIS) community with 30+ years of leading diverse organizations in accomplishing complex missions in tactical, operational, and strategic information environments. 

Neal graduated from James Madison University with a BBA in Marketing, holds an MBA in Global Management, and other technical and professional certifications. From 2006-2015, he was a consultant to USCENTCOM Information Operations, serving as a strategic planner for counterterrorism, primarily in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Arabian Peninsula. From 2013-2016 he volunteered with, then served as Chief Operating Officer of a non-profit veteran’s organization. Since 2016 he has served as the Chief Technical Officer with a U.S. Air Force organization leading cloud computing transformation and IT infrastructure projects, and as Director of Business Development with a DoD/IC focused data analytics software company utilizing AI/ML. 

He and his wife, Roz have resided in Longwood, Florida for the past 23 years and have three grown children. They continue to serve veterans and military members through local veterans’ service organizations. Neal is a member of Rotary International, VFW, DAV, AFCEA, NDIA, and also serves on advisory councils at Seminole State College and Crooms IT Academy. 

Barbara - Business Development and Proposal Support

Barbara helps BAFO clients with business development and proposal management within the government contracting industry. 

Barbara has more than 30 years of experience in management consulting, business development, and strategic planning. She has served as a senior government official at the federal and state levels and is experienced in assisting clients in business development, proposal management, and contract management. Barbara has been a director of business development for large and small clients seeking to expand their footprint in the federal contracting sector. She has extensive experience in analyzing and responding to federal and state RFQ and RFI’s, building strong team partnerships and managing full cycle proposal processes from concept to final submission. 

Barbara received her M.A. in Psychology from Columbia University and her B.A. in Sociology from Hood College. She also holds a Senior Executives in State and Local Government certificate from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, as well as the Babson Executive Education certificate for Human Resources Executives. 

Jim - Business Development and Proposal Support 

Jim helps BAFO clients with business development and proposal management within the government contracting industry. 

Jim is an Air Force Veteran and retired Navy Civil Service employee.  He worked primarily with communications systems for the Air Force and Navy across the spectrum. As a contractor for over 15 years, he has been a Program Manager, Director of Operations, and Director of Strategic Development, as well as a BD consultant to several, primarily small businesses.  He prefers being a part of a team where he can add value from his 45 plus years of experience, build and help develop teams, and developing solutions, but is equally comfortable taking a supporting role as contributor or reviewer.  He is well versed and experienced in responding to Requests for Information/ Sources Sought; building contract teams; developing storylines; capability matrices; compliance checklists; responding to Requests for Proposals, including developing all required volumes; developing pipelines; marketing materials and marketing plans; and providing review/comments.

Jim is a graduate of Old Dominion University (BSBA) and has a certification in Wine from the WSET in London.  Away from work, Jim enjoys good food, good wine, and good friends.


Nick - Business Development and Proposal Support 

Nick is a 26-year Navy Veteran who graduated from Saint Leo University with an MBA (2013) and a BA in Business Management (2011).  Nick also attended a Program Management Course from CSC University in 2014.  He has supported major large government client-focused companies with capture management, proposal management, budget development, task order development, pricing, and quality assurance of contract deliverables since 2005.  His background encompasses not only the business development side for various companies but also the program management aspect once a contract is won. 

Since 2005, Nick has served as a Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, and Pricing Manager for growth opportunities and is experienced with business development tools such as GovWin, Seaport NxGen, eVA, and GSA.  He also served as a Program Manager for several U.S. Navy and Military Sealift Command contracts.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys playing golf and, most importantly, his 7 grandchildren.

Andrea - Proposal Support

Andrea helps BAFO clients with proposal documentation within the government contracting industry. 

Andrea is a U.S. Navy Reservist with over 10 years of experience performing commercial and government administrative services.  She possesses strong administrative and strategic skills that she has gained over the years working with various commands within the Navy and Air Force.

Andrea is known for her proficiency in reviewing and revising correspondence, creating standard operating procedures, providing training within the force, as well as her technical expertise with MS applications and different personnel security systems.  All has allowed her to excel in her role and provide outstanding support to our clients. She is experienced with supporting building sources sought responses, searching for potiential opportunities and various proposal support activities. 

In addition to her military service, Andrea is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration.  She is committed to furthering her education and expanding her skillset, which will enable her to take on more challenging roles and responsibilities.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on food adventures, and staying active.  She is a dedicated and hardworking individual who is always looking for ways to improve herself and help those around her. 

Anna  - Proposal Support 

Anna helps BAFO clients with proposal documents and management, and compliance within the government contracting industry. 

Anna has over seven years of experience in proposal development. Her background includes government contracts in the lane of architecture/engineering, construction, clinical research, and cybersecurity. Her experience spans federal, state, and local government as well as commercial and grant opportunities. 

Anna holds an MBA specializing in Marketing from Saint Leo University and a BA in Public Relations from the University of West Florida. 

Anna lives on the Gulf Coast with her husband and two dachshunds. She enjoys kayaking and spending time with friends and family in her spare time.

Arian - Proposal Support

Arian helps BAFO clients with IT and Cyber technical writing for proposals within the government contracting industry.. 

Arian graduated from Old Dominion University, majoring in cybersecurity and minoring in cyber operations. Arian enjoys created sandbox labs and analyze different malware(malicious codes) because she is very passionate about security forensics and all the exciting challenges that come after a disaster. She likes to sharpen her skills in offensive security so she dives into thrilling CTF activities at online labs like TryHackMe and HacktheBox which is like a virtual playground where she can push her boundaries. 

In her free time, she is all about exploring the mysteries of astrophysics, quantum physics (Classic physic is boring!), and those mind-boggling quantum chips at IBM and SARI. 

Arian is a natural professional bodybuilder; she actually won a couple of national bodybuilding shows here in the U.S. and actually won 13th place at the Arnold Classic in 2020. She is fully aware that this life is a one-time deal, and she is all about making the most of it on this cosmic journey!

Ashley - Proposal Support

Ashely helps BAFO clients with proposal management, compliance, and contract legal documents (NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontract agreements) within the government contracting industry. 

Ashley comes from a diverse career background with over 11 years of experience in government contract management, real estate and the mortgage banking industry. She has developed a wide range of skills, including compliance review, critical and analytical thinking, verbal and written communication, financial analysis, and independent research. Ashley has a Post Baccalaureate Paralegal Certificate from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, also from Old Dominion University. She has worked with various organizations to coordinate proposal schedules, manage proposal progress, review and proofread content, and negotiate and revise Subcontract, Teaming, and Non-Disclosure agreements.  

In her spare time she enjoys gardening, doing yoga, and studying metaphysical concepts such as the fundamental nature of reality and the mysteries of human consciousness and the mind.  


Barry - Technical Writter

Barry helps BAFO clients with IT and Cyber technical writing for proposals within the government contracting industry.

Barry has been in the IT industry for over 17 years and hold several IT certifications. Barry is well versed in almost every aspect of the IT industry from networking engineering, Windows and Linux infrastructure, cyber security, Voice over IP (VoIP), and cloud platforms. Barry has been a private sector employee and a federal contractor, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), TTPs, and user manuals. Barry has collaborated with developers and engineers in the design and implementation of complex technical deployments and trained end users by developing simplistic manuals to aide in day-to-day operations

Barry is an avid sports fan and game enthusiast. He spends his spare time with his four children and his wife enjoying movies, board games, video games, attending local gatherings and concerts, and traveling to new places.

Brittany - Proposal Support 

Brittany helps BAFO clients with proposal documentation within the government contracting industry.

Brittany is a Philadelphia native, and an avid  Eagles fan, who moved from the big city to the small town life in New Bern, NC. She is a versatile professional with a background in successfully executing diverse project tasks to meet deadlines. She has experience in the DoD and government contracting space, serving as a facility security officer, Healthcare industry as a certified Hearing Technician/fitter and also as a medical coder. She has managed and transitioned multiple large contracts with little to no effect on quality of service. She has supported recruited and oversaw personnel to achieve performance and quality targets. She obtained an Associates of Arts Degree from Craven Community College.

When she’s not chasing her one year old daughter around, she enjoys exploring new places and trying local pizza places with her fiancé. She also likes planning trips to Disney World and has run a few Disney races from 5ks to half marathons. She is very excited to grow and support the BAFO team! 

Erin- Proposal Support 

Erin helps BAFO clients with proposal management, sources sought drafts, compliance, and document and outline building for responses within the government contracting industry.

She is a graduate of Utah State University, with a degree in Applied Science. She has a work background excelling in customer relations and transaction processing. She has worked with, and over, many teams to ensure that individuals can come together to achieve a common goal. She also has experience working in the medical field. Through her variety of experience, she has gained a great ability to work with many different kinds of people in many different situations. She is a very motivated, driven individual that is always looking to learn more skills and gain more knowledge everywhere she can.

Erin enjoys spending any free time that she has doing anything with her family. They enjoy sports, board games, finding the best places to eat, and anything that makes them laugh together. Erin also enjoys reading, traveling, and watching baseball - especially the Atlanta Braves. 

Ellie - Proposal Support 

Ellie helps BAFO clients with proposal management, sources sought drafts, compliance, and document and outline building for responses within the government contracting industry.

Ellie recently separated from the U.S. Navy, and as a military “intern” with BAFO Services during her transition to learn about government contracting and proposal support. Now that she is out of the Navy, she supports BAFO’s clients with their proposal needs.  She has spent her last 4 years as an Intelligence/Signals Analyst. In addition to analytical expertise obtained through her time in the military, she has gained a plethora of administrative and communication skills as she worked in support of the National Security Agency.

In her free time, Ellie enjoys volunteering within the local community, taking classes, and spending time with her animals and family.

Julianne - Proposal Support 

Julianne helps BAFO clients with proposal documentation and graphics support within the government contracting industry.

Julianne graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Biology in 2023. Throughout her undergraduate career, she has successfully secured grants from various organizations to fund her independent research. She has also been responsible for ensuring compliance with grant requirements and regulations, managing budgets, and preparing progress reports. In addition to grant management experience, Julianne also has experience in scientific and technical writing. She is currently authoring a manuscript to be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed ecology journal. 

Julianne is also a certified wildland firefighter and enjoys volunteering on prescribed burns to support local longleaf pine restoration and conservation efforts. Aside from work, she is often in the field collecting data for her ongoing thesis, working out, or spending time with family.

Megan - Proposal Support 

Megan helps BAFO clients with proposal management and related documents, graphics and training-related documents within the government contracting industry. 

Megan graduated from UMASS Boston with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Public Administration, allowing her to strengthen her skills through practice, effective proposal writing, follow-up, and evaluative work, focusing on locating opportunities through research. 

Megan understands how to develop a realistic budget and evaluation of outcomes and impacts as a means to sustain programs. Her background includes extensive work with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and small businesses, with over seven years of experience in Business Operations and Development. 

In addition, Megan has marketing experience, including creating custom graphics for proposals and presentations. She is a highly effective professional who can turn general ideas and concepts into well-constructed, polished responses. 


Ray -Proposal Support and Facility Security 

Ray helps BAFO clients with proposal documents and facility security compliance within the government contracting industry. 

Ray is a graduate of Tidewater Community College, where she received her Associate’s in Business Administration.  Shortly after she received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.  In January of 2023,  she completed her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Arizona’s Global Campus.  She is an experienced Industrial Security Program Manager and comes to us with vast knowledge and experience within the Department of Defense’s government contracting industry.  

She enjoys helping businesses grow and reach their financial and organizational goals.  For over 10+ years, she has been helping businesses grow.  Additionally, she is a small business mentor in the SCORE organization and a part of the FBI’s Citizen’s Academy.

Ryan G. - Technical Writter

Ryan helps BAFO clients with IT and Cyber technical writing for proposals within the government contracting industry. 

Ryan is a 2014 graduate of Christopher Newport University, a Virginia native, and a father of three. Originally a classroom English teacher, Ryan has since developed a keen talent for technical communications and how they empower people. He's defined his career creating clear and concise documentation for complex technical processes, systems, and products. 

Ryan has worked on technical publications in the private sector and as a federal contractor, developing user manuals, technical guides, and maintenance schedules. He has collaborated with developers and engineers to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into simpler language for end-users. Ryan's work is known for its clarity, precision, and attention to detail, focusing on the value-add to the client. 

Outside the office, he can be found in the kitchen with his family, playing guitar, or losing to his friends in chess.

Tanasha - Proposal Support 

Tanasha helps BAFO clients with proposal documents within the government contracting industry. 

Tanasha has supported the Department of Defense's mission for processing the killed in action (KIA) service members' personal effects for the last thirteen (13) years. She has profoundly understands every function of DoD operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology (IT) Degree.  Ms. Deanes served in the US Air Force (USAF) Reserves as a Memorial Affairs Specialist and Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) for over twelve (12) years, and before that, she served as a Port Mortuary Clerk for several years. She is a recent graduate of MyComputer Career working toward certifications in Security+, Network+, and A+. 

Tanasha has over 20 years of administered knowledge, highly motivated and customer service-focused professional.

Tanasha enjoys spending time with her children, family, and friends.

Tara - Proposal Support 

Tara helps BAFO clients with proposal documentation within the government contracting industry.

Tara has supported the Department of Defense in diverse roles throughout her career. Her experience includes roles of Outreach Program Coordinator for Army Community Service and as a  Retirement Services Officer Army Military Personnel operations. She has assisted Military, Retiree’s and widows navigate complex pay issues through Defense Financial Accounting Services, Social Security, and Veterans Affairs.  In addition, she has helped Military communities develop strategies to overcome social service challenges in new communities.  Tara has worked in both the Military and private non-profit sectors for over 20 years evaluating programs for effectiveness to ensure they met their customer's needs at overseas military bases.  

Of all the many hats she wears, she still finds time to teach art to school kids and being a mom to her nine-year-old son.
