Marie Hootman isn’t just your average Badin student. Some may not know she loves to read, loves exploring, and actually is a triplet! Marie is 15 and was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, turning 16 in April. Marie is a sophomore here at Badin High, and is on the volleyball team for her second year.
Marie attends Badin with her two twin brothers, and constantly gets asked about being a triplet. Marie said that she doesn’t even think about it that much though, as she has gotten used to the fact that she and her siblings have a unique connection. Marie made it very clear, she wouldn’t trade it for the world.
“Being a triplet has so many perks,” Hootman said. “I always have somebody to talk to or someone to do homework with, it just makes life a lot easier.”
She described it as a “different dynamic”, as Hootman made a good point that she will never feel alone with two twin brothers.
“We are so close and are always here for each other. I never feel alone and always have someone here for me. They are my twin brothers, but also my best friends," Hootman said.
Marie also has very high ambitions for her future. She said she loves to help people, and being a doctor would be one of the best ways to do that.
“I want to be a doctor because helping others will be at the forefront of my everyday life. It also is a great job and something I can be passionate about and enjoy. I’ve always dreamed about it, so if I keep working hard like I am, I can make it happen. It is a huge goal for me," Hootman said.
Catch Marie on the volleyball court or at a hospital near you, as you can expect big things from the triplet in the future.
