A feminist icon and powerful woman in the court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been a role model in the world of law since joining the Supreme Court in 1993.
Sadly, she passed away last Friday from metastatic colon cancer.
Isaac Wesner, a senior taking government, had some thoughts on the subject of Ginsburg after hearing about her death.
“I first heard about it Friday night when my family was talking about it in the family group chat. I didn’t even know who she was until I heard about her death,” Wesner said.
Mr. Seitz, the AP Government teacher, talked about Ginsburg’s accomplishments during his class. Ginsburg was well respected throughout her career.
“She was the most liberal Supreme Court judge. She had big support from most people,” Wesner mentioned.
Wesner then explained that he liked her rulings but none of them stood out to him.
“Her rulings were alright. I’m not big into politics,” Wesner explained.
Ginsburg was a powerful woman in the court who gained respect from most people in America.
“She was alright,” Wesner said.
