A controversial question is about to be answered at Badin High School, when do you set up your Christmas Tree? For many the answer is after Thanksgiving but for others they set it up in November.
Jillian Palomino is included in the majority of people who set up their tree after Thanksgiving.
“I set up my Christmas tree after Thanksgiving, maybe the week after or so, because it’s not Christmas in November. It’s Christmas in December and I’m a Grinch, so blech,” Palomino said.
Megan Covey on the other hand sets her Christmas Tree, with her family, before Thanksgiving.
“We set it up the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This has been a tradition for us. We go to church, go out for lunch, and then go pick our tree and have apple cider and Christmas cookies,” Covey said.
Peyton Strunk, a freshman, had some thoughts on the controversial subject as well.
“I set up my Christmas Tree after Thanksgiving. I do this because Thanksgiving has feelings too,” Strunk said.
Unlike the others Katie Hiernaux and her family don’t have a set Christmas tree time each year.
“I set up my Tree sometime in December but it varies every year depending on how busy we are. If we find ourselves with a free weekend we might set it up early, but I’m pretty sure we didn’t get a chance to set it up until like the weekend before Christmas,” Hiernaux said.
