LEARN CREATE SHARE IN A DIGITAL WORLD
Smart Media
Smart Learners critically examine information online
Evaluate currency, accuracy, reliability and purpose of online content
Know how to verify online information
Analyse the construction of digital media
Consider how we construct our own media
The Kawa of Care supports empowering our young people as smart learners to:
make the most of this opportunity to learn lots of new things and to share these with others.
always be in the right place, at the right time when online and if in doubt ask their teacher or parent.
To achieve this learners need to be media literate and develop their ability to analyse, evaluate and respond to various forms of media. This includes understanding what media is, making informed judgements about media and most importantly, creating and sharing their own media.

How to reflect on what we have created and add extra detail to improve it.
These are the slides I've made for my review. Do you think I've put in ALL my effort? Is there anything I can do to improve them?
Watch my video below to see what I've done and think about how I could 'level up' by adding extra information or design. work.
CREATE:
A co-operative group Screencast sharing your Mindset, Toolset, Skillset learnings from 2020.
Add extra interest to your Screencastify by:
adding backgrounds on your slides
adding different types of media eg Scratch, animation, a video of you singing a song etc
changing your font types and adding interesting headings
making sure you have your group name on the slides
making sure you have the designers name on each slide / piece of media that has been created etc.

Remember to make this reflection really long - at least ten sentences! Remember that it's not just about what learning you did while you were creating your Screencast, but actually all the thinking and decision making you did while you were putting it all together as well.
WAIT! I think I could make some changes! I want to make it even better! Watch the movie below to see my reflection and what I want to change!
Okay - now go back and review your learning. I've also realised that I would like to have another slide covering my Scratch coding work! Lots to change before I'm ready to post this to my blog!
