The administration and staff of Granite Hills High School consider interscholastic athletics to be an integral part of our educational program. We have a total commitment to abide by the rules and to give our athletes the best possible educational experience. By working in concert with the parents and the community, our focus is to establish an athletic standard of excellence, which will be a source of pride for the students of Granite Hills High School and the community of Apple Valley.
Granite Hills High School will field varsity and lower level teams in twenty sports, enabling our young people to pursue athletic excellence in the sport of their choice. We are part of Desert Sky League, which includes: Adelanto, Barstow, Silverado, and Victor Valley. Those students who choose to accept the challenge of interscholastic athletics must be prepared to make a commitment to both academic and athletic excellence. The extra time and effort required for athletic participation must not detract from the academic process. At Granite Hills High School, we require our athletes to adhere to a strict code of behavior, over and above that demanded of the non-athlete. Our athletes are expected to be leaders and positive role models for the rest of the student body. We believe that a positive athletic experience will challenge our students to grow and develop while providing them with enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment.
