For our materials we used : hot fries, a book, music, and a meme. The method we are using for our experiment is that we will have 2 people use their 5 senses on different objects but the same for both. We will block out 4 of the senses so our results are perfect. We used the hot fries for smell and taste, a book for touch, music for sound, and memes for sight.

The results we received determined that smell does trigger the most memories. Taste, Sight, and Sound triggered the second most memories. Finally touch trigger the least memories. The variables that lead us to our results were that we experimented with 5 people. Our graph showed that all 5 people said that smelling the hot fries triggered memories like parties or sleepovers . 3 people said that taste triggered memories, those of which were parties and gatherings. Sight all triggered 3 peoples’ memories, those of which were with friends. Sound triggered a lot of party memories for 3 people. Finally touch trigger 2 random memories, one of which was a sock

A common trend was the memory of parties. All 5 people said that the 5 senses triggered some type of party that they went to. An outlier was touch which triggered the memory of finding a sock. There were no errors during our investigates. We blocked out 4 of the 5 memories, played the same song for the same amount of time, and showed the same picture for sight.

My hypothesis should accepted because it was correct. My hypothesis was that smell trigger the most and my experiment showed that smell triggered the most. 5 out of 5 people said that smell triggered memories unlike sight, taste, sound, and touch which triggered less. An experiment that can be done in the same way is which colors causes an emotion of happiness. I am every satisfied with my results because my hypothesis end up being correct.

To conclude, the topic I chose to do was which of the 5 senses triggers the most memories. I inferred for my hypothesis that smell would trigger the most memories. As part of experiment I had 5 people block out 4 of the 5 senses to have precise results. I used hot fries, music, a meme, and a book as my materials. My final result was that smell triggers the most memories. The one thing that I could have improved on was the number of people I used.
