Some Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to pay money to participate in choir?
A: There is no required fee to participate in Crockett Choir. A donation request will be made to guardians/parents at the beginning of the year, but donating is voluntary.
Q: Can I do ECHS (Early College High School) and Choir?
A: Yes! We have several Crockett Choir students who are in the ECHS program. There are certain ACC courses that are often taken during the 9th grade year, but those classes can be taken during the summers or during 10th-12 grade years if a student needs more room in their schedule to take Choir.
Q: I have so many classes I have to take in 9th grade and I'm worried I won't be able to fit choir in my schedule. Can I join in 10th grade?
A: Please contact me if you need any help making room for choir in your schedule! We'll do everything we can to make it possible for you to be in choir in 9th grade. But yes, if for some reason we can't find a solution, students can absolutely join choir in 10th (or 11th, or 12th) grade.
Q: How can guardians/parents be involved/connected with Crockett Choir?
A: I will share info at the beginning of the school year about ways guardians/parents can help support Crockett Choir. We will also hold Family Gatherings where guardians, parents, siblings, and other family members can connect through conversation, games, and singing.
Q: We are moving addresses outside of the Crockett attendance zone. Can my student still attend Crockett?
A: Yes! Crockett is open to transfers, and students do not need to be accepted into any special programs to qualify. See how to apply for a Student Transfer through the district here: Process to Request a Student Transfer
