Students unable to join or removed from a testing session due to technical issues may take the exam at an ACC Testing Center or call us at (512) 223-1372 to troubleshoot the issue or reschedule. Students are not required to have permission from DE Proctoring to test on campus if they have technical difficulties that prevent them from securely testing with DE Proctoring. Missing the appointment, joining late, forgetting to make an appointment, not adjusting the computer settings in advance, or not having an ID are not considered technical issues.

Before rescheduling your appointment, we recommend you attend one of the Practice sessions. We can check whether your computer settings are correct and everything functions correctly.
Students unable to attend one of the practice sessions can set up a one-on-one meeting to troubleshoot the issues. If you have any questions, please call us at (512) 223-1372.

What is the difference between calculators?
There are various types of calculators, including basic ones for simple arithmetic, scientific calculators for advanced functions, graphing calculators for plotting graphs, and specialized calculators for specific fields like finance or engineering.
If you do not have a basic four-function calculator, you may use the online calculator. Phone & computer calculators are not permitted.
The most basic calculator is the four-function calculator, which can perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. These are sometimes called pocket calculators or hand-held electronic calculators because they are small enough to fit in a shirt pocket.
A graphing calculator does even more. It will have a larger screen that allows you to type in a function, then see a graph of it.
A scientific calculator usually has special buttons for parentheses, trigonometric functions, exponents, inverses and pi -- among other things
