SI Leader Qualifications

What qualifies your student to be an SI Leader?

1. GPA of 3.0 or higher

2. Must have received a "B" or higher in the course you'd like their support in.

   1. They MUST have taken the class as a student before they can be an SI for the course

      1. We do allow some exceptions for STEM courses. For example, if a student got an A in an ACC Calculus I course, we'd allow them to work with "lower" courses like College Algebra or Pre-Calculus even if they did not take those classes at ACC.

3. Receive a nomination from an ACC faculty member

   1. We encourage faculty members to recommend and nominate students from their own courses so that they can continue to work with a familiar face. 

      1. If you nominate a student for an SI position outside of your own class, we cannot guarantee their hire.

   2. Faculty members can identify students with good leadership potential.

   3. You can also request to continue working with your current SI Leader
