How to nominate/request an SI Leader 

Nominating or requesting an SI Leader is very easy! Follow the next steps to get an SI Leader!

1. Visit our website and click on the button that say "CLICK HERE TO REQUEST OR NOMINATE AN SI LEADER"  We are utilizing Google Tables to take in and organize requests.

2. Enter your info: Fill out the form--you must fill out one per section and per SI Leader.

3. Blackboard Course ID

   1. We have linked ALL ACC courses Blackboard Course IDs with our new system, all you should have to do is look up your name and find the course! 

   2. In the case that it does not show up, you can enter your course manually.

4. BRASS/ASCENDER

   1. What are BRASS/ASCENDER? These are learning communities at ACC with specialized courses in different areas of study. We have been partnering with both of these departments to try and support their courses. 

5. Preferred SI

   1. This option allows you to search through our pool of SI Leaders to find SI Leaders you've worked with before and request their support for another semester. If you haven't had an SI Leader before, skip to the next option.

6. Back up preferred SI // New SI Nomination for your course

   1. If you would like a backup, you must email supplementalinstruction@austincc.edu

7. New SI Nominations

   1. If you want to nominate other students for a class other than your own, please email supplementalinstruction@austincc.edu.

*Nominating a student here does not guarantee them a position as an SI Leader. 

I submitted my request, now what?

Hold tight! We reach out to the nominees to let them know they were nominated for the position and then move them through the hiring process on workday. You should receive automated emails that will keep you in the loop.
