During this lab period, very little time will be focused on observing eukaryotes. Prepared slides of budding yeast will be available, and hay infusion will be available. You will look more at eukaryotes at the end of the semester. Today, you will mostly focus on learning how to use the microscope, learning how to perform a wet mount, and performing a motility test. You may also go over the hanging drop technique.
