Showcase Award Opportunities

about the showcase

Collaboration

The ACC Service-Learning Student Showcase will elevate and encourage students and their connection to the subject, field of study, and, ultimately, their career through the presentation of their experiential learning experience. This Showcase will allow students in service-learning courses across the campus to present their service-learning projects in multiple ways while reflecting with their community and receiving meaningful feedback.

Community

The excitement and celebration of service-learning student collaborations with professors, classmates, projects, and community partners will promote networking, service-learning awareness, and College success. This project also impacts the sense of belonging for our students. Belonging and self-realization are crucial to retention and completion. This project supports ACC's 3C's - caring, collaboration, connection, and the mission of the College- equity, access, and lifelong learning.

Connection

Service-Learning connects the student to the subject through experiential learning. The Showcase brings an innovative third dimension for students to articulate and deepen their learning while celebrating their achievements. In addition, students, faculty, staff, alums, and community partners will have the opportunity to network and grow relationships. Service-learning and the Showcase can significantly impact their persistence and completion at ACC and promote belonging and retention in their next steps.
