1. Earth's Tilt Assignment - Due Monday 3/16: Use the sheet provided in class to think about how seasons/climate would be different at a particular location if the tilt of the Earth were different. 15 point graded assignment to be turned in.

1. Lunar Phases Homework 15 Point Assignment: Use the half sheet provided in class (link) to complete the two parts of this homework assignment. Part 1 you watch a video about the moon and take notes. Part 2 you will be observing the moon and taking notes. See directions below. DUE WEDNESDAY 2/26/19


2. Light Stations lab due for stamp on Wednesday. The To Dos are in the classroom so you need to come in at lunch to make those up.

This week we will be continuing our engineering project called the "Newton Scooters". It's a chance to show off all that you have learned in the last two units. The project requires partner work and will take place mostly in class. At this point, there is no homework for science this week.

It's the start of a new quarter, this week we will be starting an engineering project called the "Newton Scooters". It's a chance to show off all that you have learned in the last two units. The project requires partner work and will take place mostly in class. At this point, there is no homework for science this week.

Week of 10/28 - 11/1

1. Newton's Laws Creative Project due Monday 10/28 See below for details. Last possible day to turn in is Friday 11/1.

2. Egg Drop stamping will happen on Wednesday 10/30. Students should have all parts complete including their choice of either doing the final diagram OR the two reflection questions. Follow this link for details...egg drop

3. On Friday 11/1 Student will earn CW stamps for Pt 1 and Pt 2 of the Lunar Craters lab. Students should have all parts of the pre-labs done, all data recorded, and averages calculated.

4. Students can continue to earn stamps for Stamp sheet 1 side A and B through the end of this week. Friday is the last day to earn stamps or turn in work for the quarter.

Week of 10/14 - 10/18

1. Students, you began the assignment "Newton's Laws: Deepening Our Understanding" in class. Please finish it for homework Tuesday and/or Wednesday nights. Due for a HW stamp on Thursday 10/17.

2. We will have a notebook quiz on Friday 10/18. The focus of this quiz will be understanding Newton's Laws of motion (p. 18). Look back over your work from Testing Forces and be prepared to explain how our labs support Newton's Second Law (p. 14 -17). Be familiar with the word Inertia and how it is demonstrated in our demos (p. 19). All previous material may also appear on the quiz. The quiz will be open notebook.

3. Stamp Sheet 1B will be collected for grading on Friday. Reminder kids, you can continue to earn stamps for assignments if you did not earn them the first time. Drop by at lunch on Tuesdays or Thursdays to get help making up work and improving your understanding in science.

4. Newton's Laws Creative Project was assigned on Thursday 10/17. The project is due Monday 10/28, but if you need more time let Mr Gottheiner know. See next week for more details.
