Color Guard is a competitive activity that provides a visual representation of music through dance, flags, rifles, and sabres. The Arcadia High School Color Guard has two competitive seasons: Field Season and Winter Guard Season. Proudly one of the top competing ensembles in the nation, Arcadia has the privilege of working with many World Class Instructors and designers.

During the Field Season, the Color Guard performs with the Marching Band at home football games, as well as weekend competitive events. In competition, the guard adds to the overall score of the band and is also judged separately. Arcadia High School participates in the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) field show circuit, the most popular in Southern California, as well as the Western Band Association (WBA). For parades, the color guard is divided into front flags, banners, and tall back flags.
Winter Guard begins in late-November and continues through mid-April. The Color Guard members no longer perform with the Band, but rather perform indoors to pre-recorded music. During the winter season, the Scholastic World Guard (Varsity) and Scholastic A Guard (JV) attend competitions hosted by the Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC) and Winter Guard International (WGI). Both the World and A guard attend WGI Las Vegas, while the World Guard also competes at WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
