Traditional Diploma ensures that each student graduates college/university or career ready. It prepares the student to be successful in any and all future endeavors. Students are challenged with the same level of rigor and intensity as Honors and Distinguished students. Traditional Diploma students are able to take advanced and AP level courses if they meet the specified criteria for that course without the commitment of the Honors and Distinguished Diploma.
A total of 28.0 credits are required for this diploma.
Honors Diploma is recommended for students wanting to pursue a rigorous, advanced course of study during their high school years. Students who complete the Honors Diploma traditionally attend four-year colleges or universities. A minimum of six (6) AP/Pre-AP or GOA courses must be taken.
A total of 30.0 credits are required for this diploma. Students for the honors diploma must maintain a 3.2 GPA or higher for the duration of their high school career.
Distinguished Diploma goes above and beyond the Honors Diploma by completing additional AP courses. Students pursuing the Distinguished Diploma demonstrate a mastery of successfully finishing the college-level courses offered through Advanced Placement (AP) courses. This signifies their outstanding academic achievement and attainment of college-level academic and research skills. Students who complete the Distinguished Diploma will seek to attend a Top-Tier University. A minimum of eight (8) AP/Pre-AP or GOA courses must be taken.
A total of 32.0 credits are required for this diploma and students must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the duration of their high school career.
*Students in Class of 2026 and beyond are required to take one GOA Course (.5 Credits)
AP Capstone Diploma™ may be attempted in addition to the AUS high school diploma. High School Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing receive the AP Capstone Diploma™. AP Seminar and AP Research are offered only to students in grades 10,11 and 12. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research but not on four additional AP Exams receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate™.
