Anaheim's Innovative Mentoring Experience is a unique tiered career mentoring and internship program, which allows for a variety of potential business, corporate and community partners to participate in making a difference in the lives of students. Our students benefit from these developmental experiences that help prepare them for the demands of college and career in an authentic environment, while also helping them make community and personal connections that can last a lifetime.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue together with Learning for Life is offering young adults between the ages of 14 through 21 years of age the opportunity to become part of Anaheim Fire and Rescue’s Explorer Post. If you enjoy teamwork, learning new skills in a fun and exciting environment, and are interested in jump starting your career in the fire services, then we have an opportunity for you.

This one-to-one mentoring program focuses on building meaningful relationships between high school students and elementary school students.

As role models, high school students can find their own voices as community advocates and philanthropists. During once a week sessions, they guide elementary school students through facilitated activities that support academic achievement, interpersonal skills and self-awareness

MedReach is an outreach organization at UCLA with the goal to educate high school students in Los Angeles and Orange County on various careers in the medical field. We expose students to medical scenarios through an introduction to patient case studies, medical terminology through interactive presentations.

College Bigs opens doors to new opportunities for high school students and enriches the lives of college mentors. Through 1-to-1 mentoring sessions once a month, high school students can increase social capital, strengthen college and career readiness, and find their voices as community advocates. The relationships they build with college mentors empower them to overcome educational and economic barriers on their path to success.

Ensuring Orange County students graduate prepared for college, career and beyond!

The Anaheim Police Explorer Post is a program for young men and women interested in learning about careers in the field of law enforcement. The program is designed to offer students between the ages of fourteen and twenty one the opportunity to be involved in community activities, make new friends, and gain valuable knowledge.

The goal of Ready S.E.T. OC is to assist youth in making a successful transition to either unsubsidized employment, post-secondary education, military or apprenticeship/ trade placement to ensure self-sufficiency and a long-term positive employment outlook.

The Sheet Metal Industry is one of many construction trades. Along with craftsmen in the electrical, carpentry and plumbing fields, Sheet Metal Workers build homes and large commercial structures. The Sheet Metal Industry is unique however, because it is the only trade that designs, manufactures and installs its own products. Sheet Metal Shop Workers take ordinary pieces of flat metal and make them into specialized products like duct systems and solar panels. These products are usually specially designed for particular construction projects. Members of the trade are proud of its special distinction; it not only builds, it creates.

Simon Scholars is a unique scholarship program that begins at the end of a student’s sophomore year in high school and continues through the completion of college. It is designed to help students facing difficult life and economic circumstances to excel academically and socially so they can successfully complete a 4-year college degree and pursue a meaningful career.

Through our free programs and resources, we help students discover, develop and pursue their passions. With courses and opportunities to learn about photography, graphic design, engineering, computer science and more, there’s something for everyone.

Vital Link provides hands-on, career exploration experiences for high school students, helping them carve out their own unique career path. Not sure what you want to study in school or what you want to do for a living? Attend a Vital Link program and sort through your interests, get excited, and literally try on a career for a day. Students are faced with many challenges ahead of them and we offer the vital next steps so students can jumpstart their career and education plans.
