Next class we will be finishing up our video game songs and box art. Please use your remote time this week to work on your song or begin making your art for your video game box. If you still need to finish your song make sure to do that before our next class so I can make a QR code for you. The form to submit your song is below. Hi everyone!

I hope you had an awesome vacation! Before we left, we learned about the history of video game music and how important the role of music in a video game is. It sets the mood and really helps make the game fun to play! Your job this week is to begin thinking of a video game idea. Please fill out the Google Form below. When I see you in-person next week we'll start creating the soundtracks to the games that you create. Make sure to read all of the directions before you fill out the Google Form! I'm looking forward to reading about your games!

Hi Friends!

Do you have a basketball handy? Or any other type of bouncing ball? In this video you are going to be bouncing a ball to the rhythms that come up on the screen. If you don't have a bouncing ball you could do this by tossing a piece of crumpled paper in the air, making sure to hold the paper and time your tosses to match the rhythms shown. Watch the video from the very beginning to learn all of the rhythms. Make sure to hold your pall or piece of paper for all of the beats!

Last week we had some fun using boomwhackers. Please visit the Song Maker app in Chrome Music Lab and take notice of the colors! Do you see it!? They're the same colors as the boomwhackers! Please create your own song or recreate a song your already know in the Song Maker app and then play it on the digital boomwhackers! When you're finished please fill out the Google Form. Have fun!

It was so nice to meet all of you last week during our in-person music classes. This year we'll be studying various styles of music. We are starting with rock and roll and your first assignment is as follows:

Hi Friends! I am glad you found your way to our page. Welcome! I am so excited to be your music teacher and I can't wait to get to know you all. Your first assignment is in two parts:







  1. Watch the Welcome to Music video! Take note of the instruments I chose to use. Be prepared to talk about it next week for in-person music class.


2. Fill out the Google Form and tell me some of your favorite songs. I will add them to a playlist for all of us to enjoy!
