Classroom Expectations

There are five rules in our classroom:

1. Follow directions quickly.

2. Control your voice and your body.

3. Make good decisions and solve your problems.

4. Participate with enthusiasm.

5. Be safe, Be kind, Be honest.

In addition to these rules, we will work together as a class to write a Class Pledge during the first week of school.

The behavior plan that follows will only apply to behavioral issues, not academics. If your child is having a hard time following the rules, we will ask him or her to independently reflect on their behavior. We will also follow up by having a conversation with your child to talk about their behavior and what changes need to be made next time. Our desire is that students learn from their mistakes. If we are seeing a negative behavior pattern develop, we will contact you.

We love to praise positive behavior choices! This will include verbal affirmations, “Wildcat PRIDE Awards,” positive phone calls and notes sent home, and “tickets” your child can enter into a Friday Raffle each week.
