A message from our principal
Greetings! I am Anne Gayman, and I am happy to welcome everyone to Bowman Creek Elementary. This fall marks the start of my 20th year as a principal. Prior to Auburn, I taught in an elementary school in Kitsap County.
I have had a wonderful experience as an educator. I believe that working together is the key to our success and that every voice is important. My top priority is working with staff and students to make our school a positive learning environment. Our team is committed to enhancing our capacity to engage, educate and empower students in their academic and social emotional learning.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or our staff. I am excited to listen to your ideas and work with each of you to strengthen our sense of community here at Bowman Creek.

A note from Mrs. Littell
Hi BC Families,
My name is Leah Littell and I'm the new LAP specialist. I've been teaching in Auburn for the past 15 years, primarily in 2nd grade. I'm so excited to work with you and your child to support their reading journey. Please feel free to contact me for reading resources or with questions/concerns. If you're joining us at Open House, the LAP room has gently used books to give away. There will be 2 carts in the 300 hallway, please stop by and have your child pick out a book or two!
Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) is celebrated annually from September 15-October 15 to acknowledge the history, culture, and contributions of Americans whose ancestry can be traced to over 20 countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

School events including movie nights, trunk-r-treat, bingo, multicultural fair, holiday craft fair and the carnival.
Manage school Spiritwear & yearbook.
Fundraising with APEX & Food Spirit Nights.
Student programs including talent show, bear bucks store & art docent.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation!
Provide financial budgets to grades & classes.

School Rules/Guidelines
Attendance:
Please call the office at 253-931-4959 if your child will be late or absent from school. The earlier the better.
Early Dismissal:
If your child has an an appointment and will need to leave early, someone on their emergency contact list will need to sign your child out in the office. Please avoid picking your child up early if there is no appointment or emergency. Typically, teachers implement important routines at the end of the day; like cleaning up and discussing homework and student goals.
Transportation Changes:
You need to call the office by 3:40 pm if there is a change to your child's pick up routine. After 3:40pm, you will need to meet your child at the bus stop. We understand that emergencies can occur.
