"Leadership is not about having the right answers—it is about helping others discover their own understanding."
My name is Tanha, and I am a freshman in high school with a strong interest in STEM, particularly mathematics and science. I enjoy solving problems, exploring new ideas, and tackling challenges that encourage me to think critically.
Over the past year with ATWIN, I have grown both academically and personally, developing skills in teamwork, leadership, and communication. These experiences have strengthened my confidence and deepened my passion for STEM. I am always eager to learn, take on new challenges, and use my knowledge to make a positive impact.
1) What new perspectives have you gained from the program?
Through teaching and collaborating with others, I learned that math is more than solving problems. It can build confidence, communication, and critical thinking. The program also showed me the value of different perspectives and taught me that effective leaders are patient, supportive, and adaptable.
2) What did you enjoy most from teaching your friends/family/peers?
What I enjoyed most about teaching others was seeing their confidence grow. It was rewarding to help someone work through a challenge and finally understand a concept. Teaching also pushed me to think more deeply, as I learned to explain ideas in different ways to support different learners.
3) Who inspired you the most throughout this program?
My peers inspired me the most throughout the program. Seeing the creativity, effort, and unique ideas behind their projects encouraged me to think differently and push myself further. It was exciting to learn from one another and see the many ways people could approach the same challenge.
4) What was your favorite creation? Why?
My favorite creation was my geometric fox because it combined both art and math. I enjoyed turning mathematical concepts into something creative and visually appealing, which made the learning process both meaningful and fun.
