Fleurieu Peninsula

Just 45 minutes from the CBD, the Fleurieu Peninsula is known for its wine regions and lush beaches and sheltered coves. Beaches along the coastline with rugged cliff-scapes include Port Willunga, with an 1800s shipwreck. Water sports play a major part in recreational activities, including scuba diving, snorkelling, surfing and sailing.

In the south, whales, seals and dolphins can be spotted in Encounter Bay near the town of Victor Harbor.

Yankalila, Victor Harbor, Second Valley and Rapid Bay are on your must-see list for beaches while McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley, two of South Australia's major wine regions are not to be missed.
