South Australia is the driest state in the driest continent of the world (besides Antarctica). We also have one of the highest water consumptions per capita in the world.
We use industry standard 9 Litre per minute restrictors on our showers and baths, and 6.5 L/min restrictors in our basins. Please minimise your shower times to only what is necessary, and avoid wastage such as leaving the water running while brushing your teeth.
If you notice a water outlet dripping, please contact Reception as soon as possible so we can schedule a repair.
Where possible we use energy saving light fittings and bulbs to reduce our carbon footprint. We also carefully manage the way in which we heat our hot water to be as efficient as possible.
Please turn off all appliances before leaving your room to avoid wastage. Our reverse-cycle air conditioners were chosen due to their efficiency - please follow the recommended settings on the 'What's in Your Room' page. Where appropriate, close your curtains to keep heat out, or open your window or sliding door for natural ventilation.
To minimise the amount of water, chemicals and other inputs into cleaning and delivering linen, we change bed linen every third day (unless you are checking out the following day). If you would like your bed linen changed more frequently, please advise Reception.
If the towels in the bathroom are left hanging, they will not be replaced during a service. If they are left on the floor, they will be replaced with fresh towels.
Rooms are equipped with both garbage and recycling bins. When disposing of waste, please remember to place any drink containers, paper, cardboard or plastic in the labelled recycling bin.
