Forensic Science - Solving Mysteries with Science
In this engaging GATE unit, students will explore the fascinating world of forensic science and how it is used to solve real-life mysteries. While crime-solving may look quick and easy on television, students will discover that real investigations require patience, observation, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of science. Throughout the unit, students will participate in hands-on lessons and activities that introduce them to a wide range of forensic science topics. As junior detectives, students will apply what they’ve learned by working through cases themselves. By the end of the unit, students will have a deeper appreciation for the role science plays in real-world problem-solving and will have practiced valuable skills such as observation, analysis, and logical reasoning.
