In this unit, fourth graders will learn how money works in fun and meaningful ways. They'll build financial vocabulary, explore basic economic ideas, and use math to solve real-life money problems. Through a hands-on simulation, students will imagine life as grown-ups—earning money, paying bills, budgeting, and saving for things they want and need. Will they be able to afford the life they’ve imagined for themselves? That remains to be seen, but by the end of this unit they will be armed and ready to better survive their financial future!
