What is Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) is a collaboration app that helps your team stay organized and have conversations—all in one place. Simply put, Microsoft Teams is Zoom, Facebook Groups, Instant Messaging, and Email in one!
First time to experience MS Teams? Here are some guides that can help you sign up, sign in, and install Microsoft Teams on your device. There are two choices to sign up, don't fret--you can choose either one.
Important: Activate your Microsoft for Education Account using your OBF Email
Before you choose how to join the Finance Officers Hub below, please make sure you activate your free Microsoft Account using your OBF email.
Interesting Fact: Did you know that your OBF email (username@obf.ateneo.edu) comes with free MS Office 365 Education (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.) suite that you can download on your PC, Mac, and other devices (tablets and phones included)?
If you are today years old (like most of us in OSA) and only learning about this now, don't worry! Follow the steps below to activate your Microsoft for Education account:
Step 1: Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/education/products/office
Step 2: Type in your student OBF email account on the "Enter your school email address" box.
Step 3: Select "I'm a student" and follow the steps to activate your Microsoft Account, then proceed using the to Join Option A or Join Option B.
Step 4/Pro tip: Once your Microsoft - OBF account is ready to use, you can actually download other Office 365 on your devices for free!
If you have downloaded other MS Office apps before like Word and Excel for free using your OBF account, then you are all set! You just need to:
Step 1: Download MS Teams (the web app also works, but we recommend that you download the app on your PC or mac).
Step 2: Login using your OBF account. If you forgot your password, and can't reset it for some reason, please drop an email to the Ateneo IT Resource Management Office: itrmo@ateneo.edu.
Step 3: When prompted, choose "Work or School Account".
Step 4: Please choose on your device then proceed to either Join Option A or Join Option B.
If your Microsoft - OBF Account is already activated, please disregard these steps and proceed to the steps below.
