The Physical Education Program aims to develop motor skills that are essential for students to enable them to perform various physical activities. The area transmits major values through participation in various Physical fitness routines and activities allowing them to deal with the daily demands of real life and enabling them to become men for others and contribute to nation building.
The program, inspired by skill-level specific physical exercises and activities, also aims to address the variety of psychomotor developmental needs of every student by tailoring activities to the students’ skill level and allowing students to discover activities that will suit their needs.
The program focuses on developing motor skills that require powerful and fast movement such as jumping, skipping and dynamic balance to prepare students for various sports activities. Basic Strength and Conditioning programs, application of different modes of training and its incorporation with life skills will also be emphasised. This is to take advantage of gradual increases in the motor skills and cognitive development of the students, while also continuing the values development of our Junior High School students.
The Grade 10 Physical Education Program aims to further develop students’ physical aspects through various sports, which are vital components of wellness and good health. The subject area offers various sports to widen the choices and knowledge of students' physical activities.
The first term focuses on developing diverse physical activities that will improve their physique and well-being. It also aims to address the relief of their mental state from stress and anxiety. We will introduce various physical exercises, including flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, and muscle strengthening, to help them become physically and mentally healthy and cope with their very stressful and demanding learning environment.
To address this, our department designed a program that includes both indoor and outdoor sports, where students will understand the importance of physical activity for their health and well-being, thereby empowering them to create a training program and promote fitness to everyone.
Student participation is essential to the program. Students should follow rules and standards, maintain good online behaviour, manifest work and performance ethics. Structured observations will be considered in grading the students:
Enthusiasm in performing the task given by the teacher.
Individual and group assessments
Reflection and exercise program.
Collaboration with group mates in achieving specific team goals.
