Lesson 2: Creating Transitions in DaVinci Resolve
It’s time to add transitions between the two video clips to ensure a smooth visual flow of your final video presentation. View the video tutorial below to see a demonstration of this step and review the detailed steps below to support your work during this process.
Steps to Add Transitions:
1. Go to the Effects Library and find the Transitions section.”
2. Select a Video Transition and click on Video Transitions to view the available options.
3. Hover over each transition to preview how it will look.
4. Add Transition to Timeline by dragging the desired transition between two clips on the Timeline. Note: Transitions can only be added between clips, not to individual tracks.
5. Adjust the Transition Duration length by dragging its edges to increase or decrease its duration.
6. Customize the Transition Appearance by clicking the Inspector icon in the upper-right corner. Use the options in the Inspector panel to adjust the transition style to your liking.
