The Spring 2026 CPT application is now available!
Accelerated Masters students must meet with a graduate AMP advisor to discuss eligibility and application steps.
Students must be officially graduated from bachelor’s plan and have an approved graduate iPOS before Graduate CPT can be approved.
5XX level courses must have been completed in the undergrad career and must be in good academic standing/meet eligibility criteria.
If Post-Undergraduate OPT was completed, a minimum of two fall/spring semesters have been completed in the graduate career.
In addition, for students completing Post-Undergraduate OPT:
Students may defer their first graduate semester by one semester only. To delay the start of the graduate degree beyond one semester, a new admissions application will be required.
Students may not request a Leave of Absence (LOA) while on OPT.
If graduating from bachelor’s in Spring and requesting Graduate CPT in Summer:
Must be officially admitted in the Summer semester. If admitted for Fall, students may initiate a “backwards” deferral request to move the admit term to summer, and notify advising.
To meet summer full-time enrollment, students must be enrolled in a total of 3 credits in session C (or session A and B). Since 584 Internship credit is only 1 credit hr, and SCAI graduate courses are typically 3 credits, students will enroll in 4 credits.
If eligible, students will follow all other steps as normal outlined in this CPT Application site.
