University Commencement for Undergraduate Students will be held Monday, December 13, 2021, at 3 p.m. on Frank Kush Field in Sun Devil Stadium.

Tickets are NOT required for the University Undergraduate Commencement held in Sun Devil Stadium. To view the ceremony schedule and confirm which events require tickets, please visit the Fall 2021 ceremony page. Tickets are required for some graduation events. This information will appear in more detail on the RSVP page.

Summer 2021 Graduates: Undergraduate degree candidates who will complete degree requirements in August of 2021 are eligible to participate in December ceremonies. Candidates must apply for graduation as a summer graduate and pay their fees in order to have the RSVP link appear on their My ASU page. Your name will appear with the listing of students who completed degree requirements in August 2021 in the December 2021 Commencement program.

Honors Designations

If you are eligible for honor cords, you can pick them up at any registrar’s office on your campus. To find the registrar’s office for your campus, please click here.

Summa Cum Laude = Maroon and Gold, 3.80 to 4.00 GPA

Magna Cum Laude = Gold, 3.60 to 3.79 GPA

Cum Laude = Maroon, 3.40 to 3.59 GPA

Academic recognition is granted to undergraduate candidates only. Students must complete 56 or more hours of in-resident work at ASU's Tempe, West, Polytechnic and Downtown Phoenix campuses in addition to having the appropriate grade point average. These students will be awarded honor cords to be worn during the commencement ceremony. Your current GPA, as verified at the time you request your honor cords, will determine which cords you are given. Your diploma and transcripts will reflect the appropriate recognition based on all coursework completed at ASU, including courses completed in your final semester.
