Start Here - First Step

Summer 2021 & Fall 2021 Graduates (who haven't participated in a prior virtual ceremony)

Apply for Graduation: If you are planning to graduate this semester, you must follow the application process outlined on the University Ceremonies website. After the initial graduation application deadline there is a late fee, so be sure to apply on time! Plus, you must apply by the deadline in order for your name to be printed in any graduation programs. If you are an undergraduate student, double check your DARS to make sure it shows you are on track to graduate. If you are a graduate student, double check your iPOS to make sure it shows you are on track to graduate.

Once you have applied to graduate, you should receive emails from ASU and the College of Global Futures with important updates and information that will also be posted on this site.

There will be an additional step you will need to take to RSVP for graduation ceremonies. More information detailing the process can be found here.

Spring 2020 - Summer 2021 Graduates (who didn't have the opportunity to participate in-person)

Complete Intent to Participate Form: If you graduated during the period of time ASU held virtual ceremonies due to COVID-19, you have the opportunity to return to campus and walk in-person with our other graduates. Please complete the following form so we know of your intent to participate.

Once you've completed the form, you should receive emails from ASU and the College of Global Futures with important updates and information which will also be posted on this site.

There will be an additional step you will need to take to RSVP for graduation ceremonies.

Can I participate in a graduation ceremony if I am completing my degree next semester?

Bachelor's and Master's Students: If you are finishing your requirements in Summer, you can opt to participate in either the May (the semester before you finish) or December's ceremony (after you finish). We encourage you to participate in December, but there may be special circumstances for you wanting to participate in May.

Doctoral Students: You can only participate in a graduation in the semester you will fully complete your requirements. If you are finishing your requirements in Summer, you can participate in the following December ceremonies.
