These are your standard French Proficiency Tests and the guides to the French langauge exams. These tests are similar to a lot of other language proficiency exams, as they test a lot for grammar, and put a huge emphasis on this aspect of proving to be proficient in French. You also have to be strong in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as emphasizing being able to use French in real-life situations.
The Pipplet Test:
The Pipplet Test is another very popular language proficiency test for French. This test is slightly different from the tests mentioned above, where going into the test, you are encouraged to make sure your oral skills are in a good place, as there is a lot of emphasis on the oral section of this test, and it is heavily recommended and speakers are encouraged to have their oral responses prepared beforehand. Because much of the Pipplet Test is free response, having a lot of detail is encouraged as this helps whoever evaluates your test to have a much better gauge of your understanding of the language. This test evaluates the test taker on the quality of pronunciation, your ease and fluidity in speaking, grammar, and vocabulary.
