This section studies the language of Arabic and the language testing resources that are used to learn the language. The language has had a great expansion of learners over the recent years. Arabic is a language that many people are making educational movements towards learning. The difficulty of learning new dialects and script makes it a challenge to learn the Arabic language, but the number of non-native speakers increases every year. Along with being one of the most spoken languages in the world, the Arabic language offers a great connection line because of the many countries that supports the language around the world.
Around 422 million speakers (native and non-native) in the Arab world as well as in the Arab diaspora (descendants of Arab emigrants) making it one of the five most spoken languages in the world

Classical Arabic or Quranic Arabic
The most eloquent classic Arabic') is the standardized literary form of Arabic used from the 7th century and throughout the Middle Ages, most notably in Umayyad and Abbasid literary texts such as poetry, elevated prose and oratory, and is also the liturgical language of Islam. Classical Arabic is, furthermore, the register of the Arabic language on which Modern Standard Arabic is based.
Modern Standard Arabic or Modern Written Arabic
The variety of standardized, literary Arabic that developed in the Arab world in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The language used in literature, academia, print and mass media, law and legislation.

Proficiency Exams
ALPT (Arabic Language Proficiency Test): This test was developed by the ACTFL and it assess speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
DLPT (Defense Language Proficiency Test) and OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview): Most federal government agencies rely on the Defense Language Proficiency Test, or DLPT, and the Oral Proficiency Interview
Arabic Language Proficiency Test by Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO): offers Arabic language proficiency tests for different proficiency levels.
ILR (Interagency Language Roundtable) Scale: provides descriptions of language proficiency levels from 0 (no proficiency) to 5 (native or bilingual proficiency).

the ALPT is endorsed by Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) "There are 56 member countries under ICCI that include all 22 Arab countries as well as 34 countries in Africa and Asia."
Accessibility and importance
Despite being the 5th most commonly spoke language in America there is a minimal amount of Arabic language representation in American public schools.
Arabic is considered a critical language by the U.S. State Department because of U.S. strategic business and security interests in the Arab world. Despite it being a language our country heavily relies funds continue to get cut and there are not many resources to grow and learn the language
"In 2011, the U.S. Department of Education (DoE) slashed 47% of its funding of critical languages, which include Arabic and Mandarin Chinese."
Arabic language is rapidly growing and in order to keep up with this growth and see it impact future generations it should be introduced or be an option within k-12 learning just like the other languages we have discussed.
