What is the Cherry Springs Star Party? The Cherry Springs Star Party is a gathering of hundreds of amatuer astronomers who come together to observe under some of the darkest skies on the East Coast.

How do I register for the Party? Check out our registration pages on this website, we offer both a mail in registration form to pay via check or money order, and also an online registration form to pay via PayPal.

How does the registration process work? Once you submit your registration, it will take a week or two to process them, especially if the order is mailed in - and also depending how backed up the person processing the registrations is! Once your order has been processed you will receive an email confirmation that you are registered for the party. If you have not received a confirmation email after a couple of weeks, please contact cherryspringssp@gmail.com to check to be sure we have received your registration.

What does registration for the party cover? Your registration fee covers your admittance to the party, as well as allowing you to camp on the observing field for the three nights of the party.

Is there electrical power on the field? There are several 120 volt ground fault protected, six outlet electrical pedestals located in various spots around the field. These are to be used to power astronomical equipment and accessories, most people bring long extension cords and power strips in order to share outlets and power during the party.
