The SSC is the highest governing student body that represents all students, formulates policies, promotes welfare, and implements programs and activities in line with the vision, mission, and goals of the institution.
The SSC operates under the 2022 SSC Constitution and By-Laws (CBL), approved by the student body and recognized by the College Administration.
Any bona fide ASTean who meets the qualifications stated in the revised student election code for a SSC position.
The SSC General Elections are held once every academic year, typically in the month of May, through a plurality voting system. After a period of three (3) months, a Special Election may be conducted to fill any remaining vacant positions.
The elections are supervised by the BISCAST-Commission on Student Elections (ComSELEC), which is composed of student representatives from the different colleges. The commission oversees the filing of candidacy, the campaign period, and the voting process.
The Supreme Student Council (SSC) is structured into two main branches: the Executive and the Legislative.
The Executive Branch includes the President, Vice President for Administration, Vice President for Legislation, Vice President for External Affairs, Secretary-General, Treasurer, Auditor, Public Relations Officer, and two (2) Business Managers. Meanwhile, the Legislative Branch is composed of program and year level representatives.
SSC officers serve for one academic year, with re-election rules specified in the revised student election code.
The SSC represents students in official matters, plans and implements projects, activities, and services, protects and promotes student rights and welfare, and coordinates with the college administration, offices, and student organizations.

Yes. The SSC prepares financial reports and makes them accessible to students at least once every month. Annually, the SSC presents its financial and accomplishment reports during the State of the Student Address.

The SSC recognizes that the collection of the SSC fees and membership fees must continue to support the programs, projects, and activities in order to sustain the services given to the students.
The SSC Fee and Membership Fee shall be PHP 60.00 per semester. In total, PHP 180.00 for 1st Year and Transferees, and a total of PHP 120.00 for 2nd Year, 3rd Year, 4th Year, and 5th Year. This shall be paid upon enrollment per semester.

Yes. Every student will receive a receipt upon payment of the SSC Fee. You may also request a copy of it to be sent to your ASTean account.
If you've lost your receipt, don’t worry, the SSC keeps an official list of all students who have paid. However, you are still encouraged to keep your receipt as proof of payment for faster verification.
Please contact your Class Mayor first. They will coordinate with your year level or program representative on your behalf. Alternatively, you may also reach out to your representatives directly through our official media platforms.
Activities are based on student needs assessments, surveys, SSC platforms, and goals, as well as available budget and resources, and mandated institutional or national celebrations.
Spartan League is the highest leadership training program of the BISCAST-SSC established to empower ASTeans in leadership, civic consciousness, and development in accordance with the law.
