Ilketshall St Lawrence's Project

lketshall found the problem that children are not eating healthy foods as they think they won't like it so they won't try it. To try to resolve this they planned to promote healthy foods via assemblies, posters, inviting in healthy eating guests and taste tests so the students could try the food, hopefully making them more adventurous in the future.

They also wanted to get all the children involved with growing fruit and vegetables as they believed that it  would make them more likely to try the new food. They have chosen what they wanted to grow and have raised 4 flowerbeds.

Ilketshall found this to be important as they believe learning about and being involved in healthy food will help the students to be healthier. It will also help look after the planet by reducing food waste.

They also ended up selling some of the fruit and vegetables they grew at the summer fete.
