Assemble is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering learning and creativity.
To bring together or gather into one place to put or fit together; to come together; gather; meet.
At Assemble, we use learning as a tool to create a more equitable future for youth and learners in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. We:
Build confidence through making;
Connect learners, makers, technologists, and artists; and
Nurture agency in learners.
Assemble envisions a world where learning and creating are transformative experiences and where all people are equipped with the tools to make a difference, together.
Assemble is situated on the traditional lands of the Adena, Hopewell, Monongahela, Delaware, Shawnee, and Seneca-Cayuga peoples. We honor all Indigenous Peoples and their land with great gratitude and acknowledge the genocide and continuous displacement of Indigenous Peoples. We also acknowledge the enslaved Africans whose labor built this country during the colonial era and beyond. We acknowledge the harm inflicted upon the Indigenous communities and people of color across the country, which guides and inspires our work as a learning space.
