Out-of-state universities are universities located outside of California. These universities typically also accept the A-G Requirements. To learn more about the A-G Requirements, please click here.
Additionally, tuition is also more, as students will be classified as "out-of-state students." This means that students will pay more to go to a college out of California than a college in California. Students will also only qualify for federal financial aid and not state financial aid. This will be for about a year, until they are able to be a resident of the state for a year. For more information about Financial Aid, please click here.
Also, most out-of-state universities accept the Common Application, but not always. To learn more about the requirements needed to apply to an out-of-state university, please visit that school's website.
