Results

Our goal was to find a correlation between the biodiversity of plants and the biodiversity of bugs. Our data did show a trend when the amount of type of plants increased the more types of bugs also increased. We also analyzed how environmental factors affected the types of bugs as well.

This is a more detailed view of the specific types of arthropods we caught.

General Distribution of plant types between field numbers

Looking at both of these graphs, the more plants a field number has the more types of arthropods they have. There are field numbers that don't follow this trend though like D123 to D125. We made sure to also account for environmental factors as they may also an effect on the biodiversity of bugs.

Environmental Factors

Most environmental factors didn't really make a significant or consistent effect on the diversity of bugs.

For our pie charts, it compared the amount of arthropods we caught in every condition/environment.
