What is JFT-Basic?
JFT-Basic (Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese) is an online test conducted in Computer-Based Testing (CBT) format to measure the minimum communication proficiency required for working and living in Japan.

JFT-Basic mock exams are accessible online just like the actual JFT-Basic examination, can be utilized as a practice tool before the official test.
The results of the exam will be scored right after you finished and submit your answers. You can check your results on your study history page.
Similar to the official test, this mock exams offering support in multiple languages. You may take the mock exams in your preferred language.

Structure of JFT-Basic Online Mock Exam
This JFT-Basic Online exams are devided into 4 sections same as the official exam.
The number of questions in each set of exam slightly exceed the number of questions in the official exam but the time limit to answer the exam is 60 minutes, which is same as the official exam.

Check result
The results of the exam will be scored right after you finished and submit your answers. You can check your results on your study history page.
If you take the same exam for multiple times, the system will record your results each time you take the exam and you can compare the result of your first attempt and latest attempt.
(For admins, you can choose to set to show or hide answers from your students if needed. You can change the setting anytime too.)

Term Type available for 1 month
You can take the exam repeatedly within the 1 month of active period.
Admin can set a starting date and time in advanced. Count down will start from the designated starting time.
You will not be able to access the exam again after 30 days from the starting time but you can still view the answers and explantions on your result page even after the expired date.
*If you purchased the A・B・C set, all 3 sets will be available to access for 1 month.
Differences between "Practice Mode" and "Test Mode"
【Practice Mode】
You can choose which section of the exam you wish to start with. (4 sections of the exam : Script and Vocabulary, Conversation and Expression, Listening Comprehension and Reading Comprehension)
The system will not jump to the next section automatically after you finished and submit answers for each section. You need to choose and click on the next section to proceed.
There are no limitation to play the Listening audio, you may play as many times as you like. You can also choose the playing speed of the audio.
There are no time limit to take the exam. You may take your time to answer.
【Test Mode】
You must take the exam following by each section starting from Script and Vocabulary → Conversation and Expression → Listening Comprehension → Reading Comprehension.
The system will automatically jump to the next section after you finished and submit answers for each section.
Audio of the Listening part can only be played 2 times. The audio will start to play when you pressed the play button. When the audio started to play, you will not be able to pause it. And after you played it 2 times, you will not be able to listen to the audio again.
There is a time limit to take the exam. You must answer all 4 sections of the exam within 60 minutes. A countdown timer will be shown on the top left of the exam window.
