Pre-Covid, an Elementary School STEM night. Students and their families explored the Moon!
During the day, special telescopes look at the Sun to see flares and sunspots.
ASEM volunteers have taken telescopes to Scout Camps to show cool stuff at night.
Scouts learn stars, planets, Moon phases, constellations, and how to use a telescope.
Many ASEM volunteers are retired educators, glad to help students with learning science. We have done indoor activities at schools for enrichment.
Students from local colleges have gotten practical experiences in astronomy to enhance understanding of classroom material.
Local high school students have been given observing assignments at ASEM-hosted telescope viewing at Broemmelseik Park.
