This curriculum includes ten writing prompts. Each prompt provides a scenario for students to write about, ranging from hypothetical solutions to sexist language to examples of how students have personally been affected by sexist language. Some are meant to be answered in narratives, while others are designed more for argumentative writing practice.
This section is mainly focused on high school students, with a total of five writing prompts designed for a high school level. This is because high school students must write important essays, such as the college application essay, so it’s essential for them to be able to both write well and know their passions. However, there are also two writing prompts for elementary school and three for middle school, to improve the writing skills and problem-solving thinking of students of all ages.
