This curriculum includes seven enrichment projects. These projects range from dioramas to brochures. They are directed at students who want to learn more about sexism in language. Have a bored student who has already memorized all the books in the school? Or maybe a student who just can’t connect to the material? Use an enrichment project.
Each project includes specific guidelines and requirements. There are two designed for elementary school students, two for middle school, and three for high school, though feel free to assign certain projects as appropriate. These projects are meant to be done individually or in pairs (see specific instructions) but can be done in larger teams, too. The time spent on these projects ranges from an hour to a few days; again, see specific instructions. Overall, these projects are designed to let students have fun and connect the real world.
