My name is Kristine White and the 2025-2026 school year is my 19th year teaching special education.
I first knew I wanted to teach special education when I was a junior at Greer High School, and I am in this profession solely because of my experiences as a Peer Tutor during my junior and senior years. I had no idea classrooms like this existed until high school, and once I was exposed to these students and learned how to interact with them, I knew this was exactly what I’m called to do for the rest of my life! Because of that, I am extremely passionate about getting general education students involved with our students, and love introducing our students to their peers outside of our classroom.
I believe with my whole heart that EVERY student has strengths, and EVERY student has a capacity to learn. I enjoy finding new ways to help students learn how to be as independent as possible in their surroundings. I also believe that education is a joint effort, especially in the field of special education. I believe communication between the classroom and home are important to make sure your child carries over skills learned at school into daily life!
I am married to the most wonderful man, Matthew. He is on staff at NewSpring Church, and he loves his job there! We have two beautiful daughters, Abbye (9) and Alston (7). In our spare time we enjoy watching the Braves play, going to Hilton Head, and spending time in our beautiful backyard!
