Learning about Place Value doesn't have to be boring! Here are some of the ways we make Math fun!
Using manipulatives to build numbers and talk about place value is always a great way to get back into the swing of school in August!
From making groups of 10 with Unifix cubes to Base Ten blocks to Scooping and Grouping dried beans, Place Value doesn't have to be boring!
So far the unanimous favorite thing we've done in Math is our Place Value Scoot around the room! Students worked hard, laughed, had fun...and got almost every answer right! Then, they went another step by taking every number they found and using MAGIC to determine what ten more than each number was....without even having to add!
