We have been learning about how mountains are formed in Science. We learned that the Earth's outer layer, the crust, is made up of 6 pieces, called plates. These plates can move, and when they do its very slowly. Sometimes the plates bump into each other, causing the edges to crumble, which is how some mountains are formed.
We used towels as the crust and our hands as the slowly moving plates to demonstrate how mountains are formed. Then, we watched a video explanation of what we just did!
