BHP Book

This week in our Functional Skills class (4th Block), we have been talking about our school, BHP.  We had a discussion about Mrs. White being new to the school and not knowing her way around.  After brainstorming some locations in the school that Mrs. White may need to know, the students led a tour of the entire school.  We stopped at key locations and took pictures of each location.

Over the next few days, as a class, we talked through each picture (there were 12), and thought about what we do in that location.  Then, as a class, we came up with 1-2 sentences to write about that location.  Each location was one page of our book.  

Once we finished our books, each student had the opportunity to come up in front of the class and read one page aloud to the class.

Each student will take home their BHP Book to show their families all of the important places they go to during the school day!
