The inspiration for the name of the project comes from the Latin term civitas, which means citizenship. The CIVITAS Nucleus was born in 2015 thanks to the partnership between CIVITAS - Cultural and Citizenship Association and Tabosa de Almeida University Center (ASCES-UNITA), in order to promote, in Caruaru (PE) and region, activities of academic, cultural and civic nature. Through courses, events, and social intervention projects, it stimulates new generations of citizens to actively participate in different spaces of the civil life of their respective communities, through democratic and fraternal dialogue, seeking to unite in diversity and act towards the common good.
Collaborate with the training of people, in order to prepare new leaders with the human competencies needed for political, social and cultural qualification in the local, regional, national and global contexts;
