Cities need to adapt to the changing world by improving structures and communities. The goal is to make our local neighborhood sustainable and plain improvements through making a google map. On google My Maps, I made a colorful 2d map with shapes, markers, routes, and labels with images that all represent a variety of improvements, where key ones were recorded and explained with research on a rationale google docs organizer. In the end, my plan was really successful and completed the goal of improving my neighborhood.
By the year 2050, more that 1 in 6 people will be over the age of 65 (United Nations, 2019). My goal was to help design a sleek and easy to use watch for the elderly that will help them with day to day activities, health, and even fitness tracking. I also wanted to add new features that nobody has used before that could heavily benefit the elderly community as well as help improve their lives and health in general. Throughout this video I will be analyzing smart watches in the industry that are doing a great job, and then what features I would add to create the best and most elderly friendly smart watch.
I made a project on p5.js. P5. js is an online platform for learning to code in a visual way. Designed for all ages and abilities, anyone can get started quickly creating, editing, and sharing sketches. I'm going to be doing 2 things an interactive plane that can move from left to right and a stick man. To draw the stickman I need to know where each point is and draw two stick figures. This drawing works like a flipbook it shows one image then the other. While for the plane ill need to learn how to implement inputs into my drawing and how to make the backround loop so my plane can keep on moving.
"How can I understand the concept of 3D modeling and make out a product with a particular program?" was my essential question for this STEAM Expo project. The resolution I chose to solve my question was to create a 3D character model, by using one of my school science project of the elemental superhero/villain character.
What neighborhood innovation can I construct using tinkercad? I made a community center made out of simple and complex shapes. Things like a brunch, basketball court, library, greenhouse, and swimming pool were included in my community center, and it was also environmental friendly. When I was finally finished, it looked terrific, colorful, and detailed.
I was to build a stable and cost-effective bridge on Bridge Designer 2016. I researched many bridges, observed them, and got inspired first, then tested prototypes, and then made a perfect bridge that used the best materials, was a good price, and handled loads well. There were many phases of trials, but eventually an arch and truss bridge was constructed.
I did an elephant toothpaste experiment. I compared a regular hydrogen peroxide with VOL 10 to a creamy Hydrogen peroxide Vol 30. I wanted to see which one had a faster chemical reaction and if it was based on the volume. In the end, the regular with a volume of 10 had a faster chemical reaction than the creamy with a volume of 30. In conclusion, the volume did not matter, but the consistency did. The creamy was much slower than the other.
For science class, we did a personal periodic table to honor the Periodic Table of Elements by choosing our own theme, and I chose snakes in general. My projects shows the different families of snakes, Elapidae, Viperidae, Crotalinae, Naja (technically from the Elapidae, but there are so many of them), and Hydrophiidae and are sorted from their toxicity, from most to least toxic venom from each family.
I chose Robotics. In this project we needed to create a robot that could complete different mazes, draw a house with a pen underneath the base. I did a robot that could turn in everytime that it touched a wall and depending on the challenge of the maze it will adapt and get to the end. For the house drawing it was very easy the code was simple and I was able to complete it two.
Many people know snakes are dangerous but not a lot of people do not know how snake venom works, so I decided to do research on a few main toxins and did a video project on the Neurotoxin, mostly based on the dendrotoxin (subclass of Neurotoxin found in mambas). I made a video with basic animations of how the neurotoxin targets a neuron cell and how it works, also mentioning how it can improve science and life for 2021 and possible futures. I also mentioned some snakes possessing neurotoxins because that is what my project is mostly about. The video has image examples and references throughout it as well.
"The question I had for my project was ""how complicated would it be to make a prosthetic hand with materials found at a normal home?""
First I found a list of materials that could work for the hand, which consist of straws, thread and cardboard, in this case the straws functioned like the skin and the bones of the hand, the cardboard served the same purpose, because the straw would work as the fingers, after the thread would work as a hand´s tendons, which working with the straws and the cardboard would reflect the hands movements"
One common issue is that students tend to forget their passwords and tasks. I created an app that stores your passwords safely for all the websites you may use. As well, a notes page where you can add notes, set timers, calendars, reminders, etc. I integrated really cool features, like Face Id to keep the app protected and secured.
This project was to make a creative periodic table of my own choosing. I made a personal periodic table on apps which had distinct patterns. I used a google docs and the shape creator built inside it to make each "tile" of the periodic table. I also did an illustrative essay describing my periodic table of apps. The periodic table looked neat, organized, and easy to comprehend.
My project is about constructing different types of bridges that have a total cost of less than 500k using a online software. The main goal of my project is to construct a bridge of any type(Arch, Truss, Suspension, Beam...) with a stable structure that is successful at executing a bridges goal without a major change in structure or damage on the bridge. It's especially hard since many forces are acting on the bridge while objects pass through, for instance tension and compression.
How can I create an innovative farming tool used in the modern era through digital means? I made a Tinkercad model of a Farmbot, a small gardening robot that is open source-for everyone! Farmbot demonstrates how you can grow your own vegetables right next to you! My 3D model is very detailed, with lots of complex mechanisms and parts shown. I did a student organizer and a video that showcases and sums up my work. The solution, an awesome 3D model closely resembling Farmbot looked brilliant!
How can I design a sustainable hotel? I approached this question with a tad of skepticism, after all: How bad can regular hotels be? Unfortunately, the answer is not good. That's why I've designed Greentop; an eco-friendly hotel devised to support locals and provide tourists with a fun and unique experience. I opted to investigate my topic and then create a physical and online model of my hotel.
